Default Which Wireworld to match my system

Hello,

I have the following equipment. Marantz AV&MM 8003 and the UD 8004.
I am currently using XLO Signtures on the fronts and center and xlo pro on the rears(all RCA). I have the B&W matrix 802 series 3 and the fcm8 for the center along with the scm8s for the rears. I have a Fathom f-110 w/ an oaisis XLR 6 for the sub. Would the siver eclipse 6 show that much difference over the eclipse 6 in this system? The new WW would be all XLR 1 meters.

Unless you were planning on significantly upgrading in the future - Eclipse 6 should more than suffice for you. If you're going upscale in months (or years - WW stuff lasts forever), then buy the Silver Eclipse/Electra stuff since your equipment will better match the level of cables you will own. That, and you don't have to spend $ twice.

Vesuvius & Jdandy
So then would you think that eclipse 6 for fronts and center would be the way to go and maybe orbit 16/4 for the back as far as speaker cable goes. currently using xlo pro for the center and some crap the install guy used xlo
HT6 for the fronts and rear. Also would you get one Eclipse biwire or two singles for the front? again.

The MM 8003 allows me to bi amp

Doug, I'm no expert or golden ear, but I'll chime in since I'm a fellow SCM8 owner. From a movie perspective, personally, I wouldn't spend the coin going to the SCM8s (I surely don't, and it hasn't hindered my enjoyment one bit). Would it be better with better cables, sure, but it's easy for all of us to spend other's $$...in fact, I can spend yours better than my own. Anyhow, for my ears, the rears simply aren't giving enough data to justify upscale cables...all IMHO and with all due respect to other opinions.

If he's planning out for the future though, it's a wise investment - especially if you are going behind the wall with the rear speaker cables - the labor cost alone is something you don't want to repeat.

And if you have extra amp channels - go for it and bi-amp your fronts first, then center, then rears. Assuming you have enough amp channels.

Whether from Wireworld or another company always purchase the highest level you feel comfortable with the price.

I started out as a cable skeptic having never appreciated a difference between Monster and Audioquest brands. I noticed a improvement with wireworld though not what I would call a huge difference. The first thing I noticed was slightly better bass, mildly improved imaging and a slightly quieter background using balanced wireworld equinox 6 cables which are middle of the line. Looking at the descriptions the regular eclipse looks to be the same as the equinox, both are copper and simillar gauge. The silver eclipse is another story as you have silver plated copper. I am waiting for the opportunity to upgrade to wireworld 6 silver eclipse between my MCD500 and MC501's. I tried a pair of wireworld 5 silver eclipse cables but they were a little too bright sounding for my taste; I have heard from others that the verison 6 sounds a bit smoother without losing detail. I am also using wireworld speaker cables, a fiberoptic cable between my sonos and MCD500 and sub. cable in the HT between the MX-120 and JLF112 pair of subs. . I do not really hear any difference with the fiberoptic cable or the sub. cable compared to other brands I have tried including ... Yes I'll say it MOnster cable. The biggest differences were heard when I introduced the IC and speaker cables.

Thanks everyone,
Vesuvius I will have to have the wires pulled and the WW installed.
I can do the fronts and the center channel myself. Thank God for access pannels and buddys in the IT Biz that will do the installs for Pizza and beer.
