The best thing about the OCOS cables is the fact that they are not horribly expensive. A 7.5 meter (almost 25') pair retails for $1000. It is recommended that for maximum results, two cables per side be used.

As I stated earlier, I used three cables per side - and the results were excellent.

Not familiar with OCOS and I don't know how they can compensate for long length capacitance in a passive way either. One thing for sure, Transparent can't match that price.

Dynaudio has a 10 page "White Paper" describing the various aspects of their OCOS cable, not much of which I understand, but with your technical expertise, you can probably decipher it (If you can put it in baby-words I'd appreciate a translation)

Serge...a good friend uses these with Thiels. They sound really good and like Julian's are 35' maybe less. He also has 3 runs.

I use the shortest possible interconnects and 8 foot speaker cables. I try to keep the IC length as short as pssible (especially from tonearm to phono stage) because there is considerably less signal in the interconnects than there is in the speaker cable. There are also losses from capacitance that are dependent on cable length.

Yes, this is an interesting paper; I've seen it referenced before.

As a Dyn owner, I can safely say that Dynaudio knows a thing or two about speakers and speaker cables.

I use as long as 5 Meters of XLR cables ( WW Silver Eclipse ) and only 30 centimeters of speaker cable !
2 days ago I replaced the Anticables by the Kimber 8TC Dan gave me : what a surprise ! Even for a very short length as mine, the Kimber kicked the ass of the Speltz, in terms of overall Refinement and Bass dynamics and resolution....
