I didn't bite on the beta testing because Roon integration wasn't there. I wish they said something was coming this soon.

Oh well, I'll wait for it to be available for the unwashed masses, like someone else noted...

I'll definitely give it a try.

OUCH!!

My apologies. I was playing multichannel tracks but, it turns out, they were unfamiliar files from my own Roon library!

I do see multichannel files on Qobuz but, unfortunately, those are for sale and stream only in stereo, afaik.

Kal
We know you are a big 5.1 proponent. Will Qobuz increase the number of offerings much above what you have already accumulated?

It's not clear to me. They list a fair number of mch albums but they seem to play them only in stereo, at the moment.

JONI MITCHELL, via Qobuz and Roon! Awesome.

Soon as this goes out of beta, I suspect it’ll be good bye Tidal. The average selection on Qobuz sounds, 2meomsimho (to my ear on my system in my humble opinion), materially better.

I wonder if price will play a role? My Tidal price is under $10 monthly for the high resolution option because of a university student discount. While I don’t recall the details, Qobuz rates shocked me upon initial inquiry. Though I would relish an alternative to Tidal, I won’t pay much more to obtain it.

The prices for the same Tidal option you have is the same "real" price. The true Hi Res price up to 24/192 is $25. Whether or not they offer the Military and other discounts is yet to be determined.
