Listening to . . . Hayley Westenra - River of Dreams

Jim, I think that, with your Giorgia Fumanti and my Hayley Westenra recordings, we have hit the proverbial female singer home run for the evening.

I love both of these ladies - both their looks and their voices.

Now I'm listening to . . . the same Giorgia Fumanti recording that Still-One, Jim, was listening to earlier. Amazingly beautiful

Denny Freeman, "Diggin' on Dylan". I used to listen to this guy play for tips in Austin. We have so much musical talent in this town. He played in the Bob Dylan band for four years and plays on the album "Modern Times". He's played with plenty of Austin blues bands over the years, as well as Otis Rush, Albert Collins, Buddy Guy, Jr. Wells, Jimmy Rogers, Eddie Taylor, Lazy Lester and many more. He played with Jimmie and Stevie Ray Vaughan. Stevie actually lived with him. Excellent guitarist, IMO.

Staying with the Austin guitarist theme, this is John Inmon, "Songs For Heavy Traffic". Considered one of Austin's best guitarists, this guy can play anything. I'd be typing for a while in order to list all the bands he's played with. His longest stints were with Omar and the Howlers and the Lost Gonzo Band (Jerry Jeff Walker). This is a relaxing album with some great playing.
