The best thing I've done lately is to disengage the "one click, buy it now" thingy on Amazon. I still have Amazon prime, but now I've got to put my selection in a shopping cart and go through another step or two to complete my order and buy something. Seems that the additional effort makes me think twice, or more, about what I'm buying, and oftentimes I decide to forget the purchase. Saves me about 50% on my bad habit of impulse buying. Please come on back Graham. You told us such good things and we need to hear from you again.

Mike - was just thinking how I would cope without Maggie's for over a month, hope you had some backup in play. I've got to pack mine away for a week shortly just to do some work on the house and I figure I'd manage for a week or two max without them.
PS also many thanks Julian, I've been caught up and slack and will definitely make amends, you guys have the best thread on classical music. |
