Default Concerts - who’s going to what

Might do DMB this summer and just got tickets for Sting in Vegas for next summer. Really excited about that one as I haven’t been to Sin City in a while.

So far we have tickets this summer for Sonny Landreth, Los Lobos, Steve Miller Band, Marty Stuart, and Mark Knopfler. Sonny and Los Lobos are at a small theatre in Mt Vernon, WA; the rest at Chateau Ste Michelle Winery.

Took Boss-girl to see Santana the other night, first time I'd seen him since 1981 when he (and Iggy Pop) opened for the Stones at the Pontiac Silverdome. Next Saturday we'll be at the Blind Willie McTell Blues Festival in Thomson, GA - it's usually a lot of fun for just $30 for six or so bands.

My local two day Jazz festival- it was really good last year- perhaps the Blues one as well, though that's a bit of a stretch, blighty blues not really being a blighty thang, then there's the Beer festival if some of my friends go. Plus I might pop in to the free amateur shows if I'm in town. Were not short on public parks in my,and adjacent, hoods. I can't go to the indoor concerts just yet, or the big names, I'd feel I was back at work.

We hosted the Frederick Symphony at our Historic Church this past Saturday for a Children's Concert of Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf, and Saint-Sanes Carnival of the Animals and it was wonderful to watch the children enthralled by the narration and play of the symphony and the joy in the faces of their parents as they watched them! I was mixing sound for the concert.
Great Stuff,
Jim
