That is okay, I have to try. I think no one have in showroom the Canto Reference K in Florida. Thanks.

Closest thing you will find that I know of is the Anniversary 45's at Accessories 4 Less.

I decided to try my Wireworld Platinum Starlight 7 USB cable instead of the Silver Starlight 7 and some magic happened. The 9K’s are now balanced! Amazing. No loss of bass...just a wonderful improvement! No loss of bass at all. Just a massive improvement in the mids and highs. I guess they just needed to be dialed in a bit.

Up to 100wpc of solid-state and is even better. Thinking of 400wpc next. They certainly prefer more power.

I'm about to order T+A PA 2000 R amplifier for my 9 K, which is 100/200/300W at 8/4/2 ohm respectively. And real world (lab) reports say it can deliver up to 400. And it's pure analogue power, not some class D stuff. Will certainly post my feedback after. I also believe this brand deserves it's own "manufacturer forum" here. Had a pleasure to listen my speakers with 2500 model (more power, but the only difference is doubled power supply), but at that time the speakers were right out of the boxes and even a little bit frozen . Even in these circumstances it seemed to be a perfect match.

Meanwhile I'm rebuilding my audio room with soundproofing and acoustics treatment. And I think room correction will have more impact for bass reproduction.

Scyld - Am sure you will appreciate the T+A power upgrade with your 9Ks.

Have been wondering about the Canton Ref50K sub, but at 15"x19" it is quite large. The 5K (10.4"x16") or 7K (9.8"x15") would be easier to fit into my listening space. Who knows what the future holds?

As we've mixed the 9K's into the discussion, since my last post my system is up to 250wpc, speakers are now at 12' distance & 8' apart and bi-wired (true bi-wire from amp to speaker). Each step has been a marked improvement in SQ. They are excellent speakers for the classical, jazz & occasional classic rock I listen to. Will add lead shot & sand to the stands &, hopefully, be finished.
