Lodging next October
Just curious, for next year, is anyone thinking of staying at one of the close by hotels there? With free parking and no resort fees, it may be possible to cut the total accommodations cost in about half or even less.

I am considering doing AXPONA instead. I hear it's bigger, and maybe better. Hopefully cheaper too!

Last year, I stayed at the Spring Hill Suites, which is maybe a half mile away from the Schaumburg Convention Center. I had my car, so it was easy to drive over to the show. But I also think there were shuttles going back and forth. The Schaumburg Rennaissance hotel is, imo, not anything special of a hotel that I would be disappointed if I didn't get to stay in. It's nice, but after the Gaylord Rockies, well.... Besides, I think it is already sold out for the show.

I’m off that weekend, so AXPONA would be a possibility for me as well, shorter trip as well....don’t know if we’d be able to get the whole gang together but at suppose we could see. I would think the exhibitor list will be larger but crammed in smaller rooms. I haven’t been to an AXPONA since it was in Atlanta.

I don’t remember who we were talking to, but one exhibitor told us next year the prices were going back down at RMAF, back to more like they were at the Tech Center.

RMAF 2019 A.A. Show Report & Pictures
I’ve been thinking about Axpona as well, but I do like the smaller atmosphere of RMAF and Denver holds more appeal than Chicago, so I’m on the fence. If RMAF, I’ll stay at the Gaylord again: I like the convenience of being in the same hotel, being able to go back to the room for a break, and if my wife goes, the spa is an attraction
