Vibration Control
Are any of you using vibration control between your Mcintosh sources, pre-amps or power amps and your racks? There seem to be quite a few out there but it is hard to tell which size or type will work with my gear.
If you are using them could you be specific as to the size and weight they will handle. Anyone have them under a MCD-500, MS-300/750, C1000 or C500 or under 1.2ks? Thanks Jim

Jim.......I use four Vibrapod Model 3's under each of my MCD500's, and four Vibrapod Model 2's under my Micro Seiki turntable. The reduction of shelf born vibration into my turntable base was substantial, and produced positive results in a lower noise floor. I can't really say whether I can hear a difference with the MCD500 players, but having the Vibrapods in place under them makes me think they are doing some vibration control, so I leave them there.

Jim.......No cones. The magazine reviews all say the Vibrapods with the cones is the way to go, but I am happy with the results I have now using only the Vibrapods. If it weren't for the reasonable price of the Vibrapods, I probably would only have them under my turntable. I have a hard time getting my mind around the cost verses benefit of most of the vibration wonders out there.
