Default For those of you that have had or heard both

Would making a move from a C2200 to C220 be a step down in sonic performance or more of a lateral move, or would it be considered a step up.

For my next move I am going to have to consolidate my audio rack and I am trying to design something now, in advance.

I have having trouble with the 2200 and MCD500 sitting side by side as they are different sizes... replacing my 2200 with a 220 would solve this problem...

Ideas???

Why not stack them on top of one another instead of side by side.

2200 vs 220 comparisons I will leave to folks who have listened to both for a long period of time.

Thats how I have it know and it is great...

Biggest boxes at the bottom, getting smaller as they go up.

I think that my new set up is going to require a lateral set up.

501's side by side, Pre and MCD500 side by side...

Stephen.......I would not worry about the dimension differences. The C2200 is a wonderful preamp. I don't think a move to the C220 will produce any sonic advantages. Now if you were going to move to the C2300, that might be a different story.
