Those $1800 cantus have cabinets that are worth more than that alone. Buck is right, these are amazing for the price.

Buck, the YGs are loaned as part of the "classic album Sundays" http://classicalbumsundays.com/about
The decor is likely the DJ trying to make it feel cozy.

Piega and Soulution with a random Accuphase component. Sounded great but maybe not quite as great as you would think for the price.

YG Acoustics and MSB Technology. This was a fine sounding room. I got the guy to play Holly Cole's Temptation which I've heard a million times. Would have liked to hear this in a bigger room. This was the perfect example of a system that sounded great but not nearly enough for the price, I mean the DAC alone was close to $40,000. I played this track when I got home. Not even close to the performance of my setup at home. Room? perhaps.

Elac, Peachtree Audio, VPI. Great little entry level system.

Bob Carver Corp. These had great potential...but the room, the room, The room.

Me and Bob Carver again. He's a legend! Note the UGA representation after annihilating Vanderbilt 45 - 14. Go Dawgs.

Joseph Audio, Doshi Audio. We spent some time here since Marc and I both have always liked their speakers. It sounded very very good albeit a bit too lively for my ears.....there wasn't a whole heck of a lot of warmth here, but again, could be the room setup although at first glance I wouldn't have thought this would be one of the more problematic rooms. Marc and I got Jeff Joseph to play Oye Como Va from Santana's Abraxas from the computer he had and it sounded pretty good, but nowhere close to the MOFI one step vinyl pressing I have at home.

Christmas lights are cozy in December next to a warm fireplace and hot cocoa.

Those speakers are over 70k, too. No way... No way. Maybe it was the room, but over 100k just for the dac and speakers, I'd want better sound!

PS Audio, Focal, and REL. This was a very cool room and sounded "impressive" in certain ways but the speakers were waaayyy too far apart for my taste. It made for a rather dry presentation. Cool guys here.....I achieved my goal of having a manufacturer hook up my ipod Classic via analog interconnects to a mega buck system. I played a Classic Records vinyl rip of Simon and Garfunkel's "The Only Living Boy In New York" and it sounded splendid.....it's incredible how smooth you can get your sound when you're not using a computer.

Raidho Acoustics and Aavik.

Wyred for Sound and Acoustic Zen. Nice guys in this room as well, enjoyable listen. Excellent value for the $$$ here.

Zu Audio. This room sounded fantastic, top 5 for me. I believe all of us AA'ers have new found respect for Zu Audio, especially for the price, they just sounded incredible.

Finally, Del Friscos.........from left to right Tom (W9TR), me (Buck), Marc (2fastdriving) and son, and Ed (for the love of music). Richard George and Steve were unable to attend. We missed you two! Good steak though.

I really had a great time with everyone. Can't wait to see you all next year. Hopefully Bob and Ivan will be there, too!

BTW I want to second what buck said about those Zu audio speakers. Wow. For 17k, they are truly outstanding. Zu has garnered my respect, sounding fantastic in multiple rooms with both cheap and expensive gear. If I were starting over again with a tight budget, I'd be buying something from them.
