now with a C-2120 + P-4200
finally something that can take the signals from my Esoteric k-01x to drive the Focal Utopia Scala...

Hi there, a quick help/question regarding DAC-50 compatibility with the Auralic Aries G1 streamer.

I have the E-650 and was planning to getting the DAC-50. (Currently using an Audiolab M-DAC+ connected via coax to the Auralic Aries G1).

The issue is, I find the G1 to be quite picky about its pairing DAC. It has compatibility issues with the M-DAC+ via USB therefore I'm forced to use the coaxial output. I also find quite a few users in the G1 forum having similar complaints about compatibility to various other DACs.

Before I jump headlong and get the DAC-50, wanted to check if anyone out there have had experiences with the G1 and the DAC-50 (USB compatibility specifically).

I don’t have any experience with the Aries, but I’m using an Auralic Altair into a DAC-50 via USB. No issues, and it sounds great. My amp is an E-600.

Here we are in 2019 and my set up has changed quite a bit, will update signature. In the last couple of weeks an opportunity came up that I never thought would happen, the chance to buy an Accuphase pre/power combo... the C2420 and P4200, with the trade in for my E470 it was a really attractive prospect, but never having owned separate amps before I was quite hesitant. However, after some soul searching and talking to others I went for it.
Where do these two rank in the Accuphase line up?

This lineup is not up to date:

A-70 replaced by A-75 (July 2018)
A-47 replaced by A-48 (June 2019)
P-4200 replaced by P-4500 (December 2018)

C-2120 replaced by C-2150 (December 2018)

E-600 replaced by E-650 (November 2017)
E-470 replaced by E-480 (November 2018)

A-75 and E-650 should be vailable in the US by now.
