0-60 times are fairly irrelevant in my book. Any $5000 used 1000cc motorcycle can do 3 second times or less, including my 15 year old Aprilia twin.

Mid-engine = awesome. I own a 2015 CPO Cayman S with all of the options, barring a few alcantara bits - paid $62k for it w/ 18k miles over 2 years ago. No buyers remorse - it's a brilliant car and has given me no grief.

Will I test-drive a C8? Maybe, but the odds are low that I'd give up my 981S for the Vette.

The Yamaha V-max muscle bike I bought 30-31yrs ago did 0-60 in 2.9 and 1320 in 10.9. At the same time sport bikes of half the displacement were as quick or quicker, but that sort of acceleration is more impressive in a car IMHO.

Regarding the projected time of the C8 for 0-60, it's apparently achieveable via better traction than any previous generation coupled with a 1st gear maximized for 0-60. I can't imagine that it will do a sub 11 second 1320 because that would require more HP than it has.

I'll buy one eventually.

also, the new sound system (Bose) appears to be quite nice .......
