you need some room correction - if done well, it will make all the difference in the world.The kind of frequency response dips you have are substantial. You are basically +15db to - 20db - or basically a swing of 35db - that is a lot, and yes - it is very audible. The goal isn't really to get ruler flat response, but to eliminate the big peaks and dips and achieve a response in the room that sounds neutral. Correcting these errors should be the very first thing you consider doing in your system before buying more new equipment.
