I heard it from my a friend whom is a B&W dealer. They are retiring the 800 series V2 next month, and will have an update shortly after!

Thats exciting!

Do you mean the 802 Diamond Version 2 is being retired because there have been more releases of the 800 series: matrix, nautilus, diamond, diamond 2 at least.

Did your dealer friend tell you anymore about the upcoming redesign?

The 600 series is changing next month. No news about the 800 series. I heard that the CM will change next and then the 800's.

Yes, the entire 800 series diamond version 2, will be rolled to a version 3.

Yup, there has been emails already about the 600 series, but B&W gave the heads up to a few dealers to start getting rid of their display models of the 800 series D2's, before the D3 is announced.

You can see the new 600 series on the Bowers and Wilkins UK website but the 800 series still appears to be the 800 series diamond (diamond v2). I am rather excited to see what they introduce most likely I would guess it will be an evolutionary changes to the existing range.

Call me a doubting Thomas on this one. With the 800 series essentially being their flagship speakers I just can't see them doing a soft launch. New 800 series are typically flaunted in advance at shows like CEDIA or CES.

CEDIA is in September, not that far off, 6 months.

What would they be changing at this point ?

They may have squeezed out as much performance as possible with the new 800 Diamond.

I'll take a wild guess that goes against tradition and possibly quite controversial. New mid driver material to try and better match the Diamond tweeter's speed. Much like Raidho has done. No basis or insider knowledge, just a wild guess.

Is Raidho using ceramic or beryllium or some other material.

I wonder if they are going to change the shape of the 800 flagship.
