How do you fix warped records?

makes sense.my vinyl rig isn't exactly in this class and is probably a bit more forgiving - and my old ears as well.

If you have just a few warped records, the vinyl flat @ $120 is just right and does the job. No need to spend $2500 on a vinyl flatter. Better to go look for a non-warped version of the same LP if you don't want to deal with flattening out warps.

Also look into aftermarket clamps that do a good job of flattening LPs a bit once you place it on the platter and clamp it down.

I do not believe there is one for the MT10. I know there are official ones for the VPI and CA TTs

David...the MT10 is a rebadged Clearaudio turntable placed with McIntosh styling cues. There are clamps from Clearaudio, Stillpoints and others that will work on your TT. Just need to research which ones have also proven to be effective with warps.

Better than most since it drains vibration away from the record/stylus.

David...if you search for record clamps at places like Music Direct, Acoustic Sounds, Needle Doctor, Todd the Vinyl Junky (TTVJ, you will find many options for Clearaudio clamps. As per the rules of AA, I can't provide any links to other sites that sell gear, otherwise I would have pointed you to quite a few. But a simple search on any of these sites will yield many options. The rest is researching which will work specifically to flatten out somewhat warped records. The other option is to get an outer ring that fits around the record and I believe Clearaudio has one that costs $1350. The problem with outer rings is that if not careful, you can nick your stylus on it, so you have to be extra careful with those. Clamps are less effective but can address low level warps. You should be using a clamp anyway to get a better coupling of the LP to the platter. I believe Clearaudio has a $200 stainless steel model called the Quatro I think that should do just fine.

I made two dozen of these from aircraft aluminum. Sold the extras on eBay. While probably not the best out there, they work great and the people that bought them loved them.
