Default MA 8000 coming today
Picked this up on Audiogon. First Mcintosh.

I am thinking i can run my dual Elac (Andrew Jones budget with the app) subwoofers through the amp out section but have a Y cable so the signal goes back to MA 8000 amp section too. If not a good idea, let me know.

If you are sending a signal from the MA 8000 back to the MA 8000; that is a bad idea.

Isnt that what the jumpers do anyway? I see those get replaced a lot with heavier cables with nice results

Apples & Oranges; jumpers on the back of an Integrated Amp are completing a circuit. IE: bridging a pre-amp to the amp.

If I understand you correctly, you are working with a signal.

The jumpers were where i was going to run the y cable with two male ends and one female. I did something similar running stacked advents for a while with one set running off an external amp and the other set running off the integrated amp.

But if it isnt a good idea, i wont do it. If anyone can share any ideas how to run the subs, i will take them.

The manual actually shows a similar setup to this for bi-amplification, however, there is a separate balanced pair of outlets (output 2) that can be used if your subwoofer has a balanced input. This would be the better way to go.

The MA8000 should have an Output2 next to jumpers that you can run RCA cables to the sub. That is how I am using a sub with my MA8900.

No RCA output 2 on the MA8000. It does have a balanced Output 2. It also has a record output, but it is a fixed output only so that wouldn't work.

Run your subwoofers high level off of the 8000's speakers outputs if it has speaker connections or buy a pair of Neutrik balanced to RCA adaptors for Output 2.

The output adapter is probably the way to go, but i may end up keeping it only running my lowly Chameleon Ts until i can upgrade again. Thanks everyone!
