One more thought, but you would have to sell the Sme arm. The Well Tempered Royale 400. I run the EMT Tsd-15 with my Amadeus GTA. The 15 is a proven match with the WT arms. That said, I certainly understand if you want to keep your 309, as it is also a great match. Bruno 3009- Glad you are liking the Tsd-75. The TSD series seem to fly a bit under the radar. You have me curious
about the 75.

Final decision is run down to Acutus SP (which will require some more savings) or Transrotor Rondino... both match my taste in design and seem to be the significant step forward from my current setup... tendency towards Avid...

I think that if you go through the right dealer, you could pair up an Avenger with a Cadenza cartridge and get to be under 10K with some decent discounts, and have pretty much a reference level TT.

As someone else said, you can progressively upgrade the avenger to the reference level piece and eventually you'll have a 22K table. I was in between the prime signature and the avenger and decided to go with the avenger because: 1) knowing myself, in 3 months i knew i would want something better if i got anything less than the reference level piece 2) i can upgrade the hell out of it when I get the itch to improve sound quality 3) it will last for a really long time. 4) It's one of the nicest looking tables i've seen.

As a matter of fact, I just ordered my Avenger today. I got cadenza black to go with it. In time, I will add the magnetic drive to this as well as upgrade the cart to an A95.

Could that dealer be Ivan? Never hurts to ask.

Default Best turntable under 10K - suggestions ?

I think almost any dealer would do under 10 for a stock avenger with a cadenza black. I agree though it's a very nice table. The sequel is nice as well

Ivan takes great care of his customers! great to bounce ideas off of, as well as purchase items from!

Yup, the 12inch 3d arm with the upgraded motor is a nice upgrade on the new versions!.

Default Best turntable under 10K - suggestions ?

Just wanted to pick up on this again - I'm actually still down to Avid Acutus vs Transrotor Rondino vs McIntosh MT 10. still stuck with my Avid Diva II SP because I really can't decide which to go with...

I owned the McIntosh in the past. I loved it. It's a much better turntable than its given credit by most. I got mine used and the $7k I invested was well worth it. I sold it last year along with entire system. Of course the Acutus is a reference level turntable and if you can get arm, table, and a cart inside of $10k as the title of thread asks, go for it! Another ABSOLUTE GEM of a turntable for way under $10k is the Rega RP10.

A little OT but a question I do keep asking is - which investment brings the bigger improvement. As for most (I would suppose) finances are limited. So the question is if investing another 10k into a turntable really makes sense or if it's better to upgrade speakers for example... don't get me wrong - I'm very happy with my setup - but when ready to invest another 10k the question does come up...
