Will recent earthquakes impact San Andreas fault where the "Big One" is overdue?

I live on the West Coast and I don't live in fear of 'The Big One.' If and when it happens, I'll deal with it.

Honestly, I would be much more afraid living in an area prone to tornados, hurricanes and floods.

Geologists are concerned because there are very few earthquakes associated with the New Madrid fault, so no pressure relief, and an increased potential for a big shaker.
