Picked up a mint MC152 from forum member JDsmoke.

Congratulations and good choice pairing with a McIntosh pre. I've found (as others) that mixing and matching pres and amps of different brands isn't always a great idea, particularly true with McIntosh. This is anecdotal of course, maybe there are some combinations that work better than others.

It's always cool to see gear sales happen here where we have a high level of trust. Show us pics when you get it all together!

yep, go with AC, I paid $2600 for my c47 last year, bet it's even less now and mine was in mint condition and you get a year warranty, no tax and free shipping.

Let me know how you like your MC152. I'm debating between MC275 or MC152.

Absolute congrats! Unless your speakers are highly inefficient 150 watts is all you really need. I can't say that my Alexx have ever required more than 120 on anything. Mac always supplies enough current (large enough power supplies) with their latest generation amps. My recommendation is to use the output tap that agrees with the stated nominal manufacturer speaker impedance unless your speaker is quite efficient and does not require too much current. You are on your way with Mac. Again great choice!
