Bobby - So you're going with the high output version of the Dynavector 20x2? The low output version is significantly better for the same price, but it would require a step up device in front of your MM phono input. Either way you can't really go wrong with the Dynavector, enjoy it!

I have a Soundsmith Carmen with my Prime. What would be a good alternative ? I enjoy the sound from this cartridge but would also like to have the option for another cartridge with a different sound than the Carmen.
Do most others own more than one cartridge?

Not sure I'm the norm, but I have five (5). Three (3) MCs and two (2) MMs. Is nice to be able to swap them out for a different sound as the mood strikes.............

I ended up going with Ortofon MC Quintet Black and Lehmann Black Cube SEII as the phono pre. I will be setting everything up this weekend.

I have a VIP Prime with Ortofon Cadenza Red but yesterday i had an accident with the cartridge (ARGGHHH!!).

So i am looking for new cartridge. I never heard a different combination with my VPI Prime so i cannot compare.

I am considering 3 options:

Ortofon Quintet Black (recommended by VPI but maybe i am going to miss my Cadenza)
Ortofon Cadenza Red (same)
Lyra Delos (recommended by VPI)

This week i will demo at home a second hand LYRA DELOS to see the difference. I will let you know.

Any opinion?

New Options:

Cadenza Blue or Lyra Delos (around 1,400 USD) brand new
Lyra Delos second hand (6 months old) for 700 USD
Rebuild my broken Cadenza Red for 650 USD

Decisions Decisions... please help!
