Thanks, John
Strads are completely different design, different shape, different baffle, Strads have 2 woofers that are larger. While the Amati is good speaker, the Strads are better. The Amati are wonderful when set up properly but are harder to use in a smaller room. The Strads believe it or not although larger are more forgiving in the set up. If you want a smaller Strad buy the Elipsa’s

I do understand the size and design differential between the Amati's and the Strads. I have a friend who owns Strads and they do, of course, require a much larger room. However, I have information from a significant number of Amati owners, and two longtime Sonus Faber dealers that an Amati would work perfectly in my somewhat smaller room size (13x15.5x7.5. Now, they were speaking about the Amati Futura, at the time. Does this mean that the older, Anniversario would not perform well in my size room? Thats critical for me.

Sonus faber Amati Anniversario speakers are really amazing, way better than Sonus Faber Oympic III (at least for me), One dealer close to my home have and hear several times with Mcintosh and Audio Research. For hard rock Audio Research/Anniversario is no good , but Mcintosh/Annirversario is excellent .

The 13x15 will be fine on the width but the 7 ft deep is small for the Amati as your chair will be right on top of the speakers. If you go narrower with the speakers you will need bass traps or the Amati bass will shake the room and bloat the lows. I tried the Amati in my room and ended up not being able to use them in my room for the reason I mentioned. The Strads would be much easier to set up in your room

Drivers are not the same.

Not a smaller version of a Strad in a different enclosure.

Sorry for the misunderstanding, the room is 13 feet by 15.5 feet, the ceiling is 7.5 feet. The speakers would be placed six feet apart, 3.5 feet from the sidewalls, three feet from the back walls, 10-10.5 feet from the listeners ears in the seating position. Will that work?

Dan, anyone? I had hoped to contact someone about a possible purchase of the Anniversarios tomorrow morning, but I need to be certain that my room size will accommodate them. Help!

John.......You will have no problem getting the best out of the Amati Anniversario's in your room with those dimensions. I have mine in a room that is 12' x 15' with a 7.5" ceiling. You will love the Anniversario speakers.

Thanks so much for the quick response, Dan! All of your information and assistance is immensely appreciated. I hope to report back that I am an owner of a pair of Anniversarios soon.
