I'm definitely going this evening, there's a few things on my list. Pretty cool how this this has grown into a pretty exciting event. I'll be going to Criminal Records in Atlanta. Where is everyone going? Ya'll better go today and support your independent music store!

Green marble sounds cool. I've only seen solid or translucent colored vinyl.
I think RSD is gaining momentum. Last year they had a second RSD around the holidays :-)

I always enjoy Record Store Day. Last year my wife was asked to photograph the bands playing at our local store and took some shots of me browsing the racks to get some light measurements. One of those photos has been my avatar on AA for the past few months.

This will be the first year I'm going to go.....won't be able to get there until around dinner time though. I wouldn't mind grabbing one of the R.E.M. unplugged vinyl boxes but I'm afraid they'll all be gone by the time I get there. Living near Atlanta/Athens probably doesn't help either! The ebay flippers are already out and our stores here haven't even opened yet.

I always enjoy RSD. I'll be going to Everyday Music and Avalon Records in Bellingham, WA. I'll pick up my son along the way, do some father-son record shopping, listen to the bands and eat some street food and see what treasures we can find.

Tony... That sounds like a great day. When my son was still at home, he always wanted to go with me anytime I went to the record shop. As soon as we returned home he would ask if we could crank the volume to "concert level" to enjoy our bounty. Of course I was happy to honor his request. Those were fun times.

Yes, that does sound like fun. I bought my son a TT a couple of years ago and he enjoys his vinyl, but two little kids keep him pretty busy so I try to provide the occasional excuse to enjoy the hobby.

A father's job is never finished.
