Wimbledon Epic Match

"Wimbledon's modern-day gladiators John Isner and Nicolas Mahut will return to battle it out for a third day on Court 18 to finish one of the most incredible tennis matches ever played, the longest on record by a country mile with the clock at exactly 10 hours when play was suspended due to poor light at just after 9pm, with the score standing at an incredible 4-6, 6-3, 7-6(9-7) 6-7(3-7), 59-59." that's right... a 5th set score tied of 59-59!!! absolutely insane, as a avid tennis player myself that score and the amount of time on the court giving it all every game is just monumental. hats off to both, they are both winners!

Truly amazing numbers.
Yet the pair played on. All the numbers were truly astounding: They played 881 points, 612 in the fifth set. Isner hit 98 aces, Mahut 95 -- both eclipsing the previous high for a match at any tournament, 78. And this cannot be emphasized enough: They are not finished. No one won. The match will continue, stretching into a third day.
