Default Long HDMI cable for projector that support 18 gbps

This has been my concern for quite awhile. That we have very high spec of UHD Premium, like 2160p/60 and high color sampling. We have 4K projector . But we don't have many choices to transmit such high bit rate data over long distance
Of 10 meters or more. Any conductor based will need to go active, but none has support such high bit rate. And it will cost a fortune such as WW Platinum Starlight or AQ Diamond.

But recently, I know two companies that make such a cable and make me more relieved.

Not cheap, but not terribly expensive as silver based cable.

I buy all my hdmi cables from Monoprice. They have excellent prices for high-performance HDMI cables and come with different lengths.

Sorry, but when you are running $25K/$100K+ projectors you don't use monoprice cables.

You may be right. I don't know what kind of projector Toga has. But there are quite a few projectors that meet those specs and cost much less than $25k.
Now, assuming that cost is no object then an interesting experiment could be to buy a high-end cable and spend an extra $100 to buy a Cheap cable (mono, blue jean, etc) and then compare. One can always return the cheap cable.

Been there, done it; the comp isn't even funny. It's actually sad how much digital accutance is lost.

Based on my experience. For a short run of 1 meter between source and processor, forget about generic HDMI. I have all models of Transparent Audio HDMI. They provide much better sound and picture than generic cables. But my favorite are Audioquest Diamond and now Wireworld Platinum Starlight. Both provide the best picture and sound. For longer one of 15 meter to ceiling mount projector, that is more complicate because that is too far for metal based Cable. I used DVIGEAR when I install my first 1080p projector, JVC HD1 in 2007. It worked very well, until I upgraded my projector to JVC RS56 which is 3D capable, this DVIGEAR cannot handle 3D signal at 15 meters length any more. A booster have helped. But later I found a Japanese company who made fiber optic HDMI cable that remain High Speed up to a 100 meters. At a very reasonable price. I bought it and never been happier. Picture is miles ahead of what DVIGEAR could offer. And at 15 meters long, cable like AQ or WW will be very expensive and may not maintain its High Speed rating anymore. So yes for longer length, fiber optic is the way to go. Here is what I use now, but the electronic part of it just cannot do 18gpbs required for new UHD Premium specification. http://www.aim-ele.co.jp/avd/product...catalog_ls.pdf Toga.

Mine is JVC RS56 + Stewart Firehawk G4 153" 2.35:1
I wanted DNP Supernova low gain to to the grainless and unbeatable black, but it is 3-4 times more expensive and 0.85 gain may be too low for RS56 to handle.

The article below recommends "active" cables for longer length cables as opposed to standard "passive" cables. Beware that the writer of the article does not fall in the camp of using expensive cables.
