We celebrated New Year's Eve last night with me cooking dinner in for Melinda with a couple of SRF Gold Grade Tenderloin Filets, paired with a bottle of this:



It was outstanding!

From NYE... the "cleanest" the trough looked during the night. Sake is Daiginjo Waketake Onikoroshi 1.8L. My house was littered with empty bottles by morning.

Also just got back from NYC and man was there some good food and wine involved there... still digging through those pics, though.

Great choice with the Krug. Our favorite champagne. We drank a couple bottles of vintage 1988 on New Year's Eve. Fortunately I bought several cases of it over 10 years ago. Superb is an understatement. One of the best vintage Krug in recent memory!
