Just uploaded a request to the GIK site with pics and layout of my room I've been struggling with. Looking forward to your guidance. I love the idea of the new freestanding panel and the idea of using a 4" for both bass control and absorption. Pretty sure I can use some diffusion as well.

For the front wall it good to have panels as it can help control SBIR. See the following on what and how SBIR works.

Any quotes for a 4" thick freestander for 1st and 2nd reflection points. The pics look really nice Glen. And I'm thinking full range FRT because of hard wood floors and windows......not much worry about deadening too many highs. Hope I'm on the right path!

So for absorption to be as broad as possible......does one want the membrane built in. I understand the limiter will focus on the lows, but is the full range membrane alone always better than without

When the panel is full range it does not have the limiter (membrane) built in, so if you want it broad then you do not want the limiter built in. Which it sounds like what you need for 1st and 2nd reflection points (broad).
Does that make sense?

So, this thread seems to have stopped. However, I just saw an add about the new Demi Q7d. Glen, could you elaborate on their best placement and how they work compared to other defussion products. Thanks

The Demi Q7D is a short Q7D which is a 7 root diffusor. For placement they are best on the back wall and or on the side walls in the back of the room. Depending on the width of the room you can use them in the early reflection points. Some people like the sound. Others want more of the direct sound from the speakers, which you would want to use absorption at that point.

Hey Glen, i'm on your e-mail list and i'm ready to buy a few panels, probably four 244's and four Freestands. But saw that Europe is offering beveled edges at no charge and thought wow, that would be nice! Any chance we GIK fans here in the States will be able to get these? And how about the Demi Q7d?
Thanks
