Cyril,
This is exactly what I was thinking about : how much should the different components cost to justify these cables ?

Cyril.......No offense intended. I was actually responding to Paul Bolin's comment, which you excerpted. His statement was the "best of the best". What is so silly about a comment like that is it ignores the basic concept that each and every one of us hears sound differently, and our perceptions of what we hear vary dramatically. Had he prefaced his comment with, "to my ears" I would not have made a peep. Best is in the ear of the listener, IMHO.

Dan...I 100% agree with you. I think anytime reviewers try to crown a product "the best" I also laugh because not only is it subjective (beauty in the eye of beholder perspective) but it is also subject to system synergy. I am sure you can get a a bug bucks product that sounds amazing (again to your or someone else's ears) in a specific system and will sound suboptimal in another.

If some magic fairy dropped them into my system I would be glad to work with them, but as others have noted I would prefer so allocate my dollars elsewhere.

If you maxed out your system already (ie. flagship gears + room treatment etc) and you still have money to burn, I don't see why not.
