I have one for a year now, first week it frooze two times, but since then it has been working flawless. Great control app and excellent sound quality.

After the latest firmware update internet radio is also available. (as is Tidal)

My N100H is connected to an Ayre DX-5

A good friend of mine (who is also my dealer) sells these and swears by them. He says they operate perfect with the app and improve sound quality. I have not played with one yet, but intend to audition the N100 in my system soon. I'm interested in the N10. I need 4TB for my music files.

Can't go wrong with Aurender. I bought the X100L 6TB 3 years ago, flawless operation. Ditto Conductor app. Tidal-ready. I enjoyed the X100 so much I bought a N10, I wanted a black, full size component with multiple outputs, which the N10 provided. I can't imagine a better music server.

David.......Since I don't see an outboard DAC in your signature I am assuming you plan to use the N100H with the MCD500 DAC. Be aware that the Aurender N100H only supports USB audio output. Your MCD500 only has coaxial and Toslink digital inputs. Also, the MCD500 does not support sampling frequencies beyoud PCM 16Bit/44.1kHz, so you will not be able to enjoy high-res downloads from any Aurender music server without a more modern DAC.

My suggestion is to go with the Aurender N10 and an MCD1100, or better yet and N10 and the Esoteric K-01X. That will provide you with a serious rise in performance across the board. I believe there is a K-01X in the Marketplace right now at an astonishing price. Pick up the K-01X and order an Aurender N10 for performance that is over a decade ahead of your current digital front end. You will be amazed.

Dan I just cancelled my roon subscription. While the GUI is nice I was getting a lot of cutting out and in of the music on my Sonos and ended up using the Sonos GUI in order to keep the music from cutting out. I have a halide bridge which is a usb to coax reclocker which sounds pretty good. The company was praised when it first came out with this back in the day and has since gone out of business. A K-01X you say... I wonder who that might be . As for the other Aurender I have learn about the different models The N100H I heard last week through the new Amati did sound very good

David.......I forgot you had the Halide Bridge, so the Aurender N100H is doable with the MCD500. Still no option for high-res, though.

Trust me when I say the sting of the purchase for an Aurender N10 and an Esoteric K-01X will quickly be forgotten once these components are in your system. Your C2300, MC501's, and the Sonus faber Elipsa's are up to the task of delivering higher performance. Without a doubt improving your source components will improve your entire sound system and your satisfaction with its performance.

I can honestly say with my N10 and K-01X I want for no other components. As for Roon, you won't miss it once you have the Aurender Conductor app. It is slick as wet ice, intuitive to use, and integrates Tidal HiFi seamlessly into the apps functions. Tidal simply becomes an extension of your library.

Dan ... you make A LOT of sense. David, ball is in your court. Keep the Elipsa and upgrade source. You will be amazed by N10/K01X or N100H/K01X.
