Default The Night Of

Has anyone else found that the new HBO Series "The Night Of" has the potential to be the best HBO offering since "The Wire". (There are at least a couple of actors from The Wire who have found their way into the first few weeks) The show makes you feel at times that you are actually sitting in a Police Station watching these events take place. The show seems so real and thoughtfully written and performed. At times is is truly disturbing.

Eagerly awaiting week 3... so far very good but a gut-check for the level of realism.

It is so real it's hard to watch at times. But I'm loving it.

I thought last Sunday kind of dragged. Looking for this to build quickly now to the finish.

My wife and I really enjoy this show. Great casting for their roles and the acting is very believable. I felt the same way about True Detective season 1(best series I've seen in years).

Watched the last episode last night. This is one of the realistic and well mode shows I have seen in a very long time, simply brilliant. The end was so well done.

I also enjoyed the show. My only issue was why they had to make smart people do such stupid things. For example the young female lawyer.

Yes Indeed, that was out of character, nobody in their right mind would take that risk.

Not so... In real life, professionals destroy their careers doing dumb things all the time. Many years ago, there was a lawyer in BC who destroyed her career by having sex with a client at a courthouse. There was a doctor in Vancouver, BC who lost his medical license after asking a patient out on a date during a pap smear. The mayor of my hometown destroyed his career and went to prison after he stole money from the city and from his own friend. Just now, I read this news article about a lawyer in Edmonton who has destroyed his career and it now going to spend 4 years in prison for passing meth to a client.
