Default A65 with Focal Scalas

Has anyone had any experience with an A65 with Focal Scalas being bright and harsh. I have a friend s that says the A65 seems way under powered and makes his ears hurt its so bad. He is using TL cables and a C3800.

I have heard a pair of A65 with either Grand or Stella's but not with Scalas. I do not remember any harshness at all.

It is quite possible that the pairing of Focal and Accuphase can be heard at the upcoming RMAF event in the Apex Audio Room.

I have a pair of focal scala powered by A65, C2820 & DP700. Using siltech speaker cables and accuphase inters. No harshness. Ample power for me. Hardly play past -45db.

If anything, I find the bass a tad lacking due to the use of the track audio stands and the nature of accuphase. I have switched the speaker to be bias towards bass and it seems fine for me. Then again, i'm not one for a boomy bass.
