Power cord for CAD300SEI
I've got the rest of my system pretty well sorted out, and thinking about exploring power components now. First up is my CAD300SEI. The stock power cord from Cary looks pretty insubstantial, and wondering if others have experimented with after market power cords. I have heard a few demonstrations of power products at demonstrations, but haven't really done much experimenting yet. One problem, especially with a tubed component, is that you can't really do a quick swap to a different power cord and audio memory is pretty short.
Any recommendations or related experiences would be appreciated. |

Hey Deckard,
Upgrading your power cord is an effective way to improve sound quality significantly. I have done so on many tube amplifiers. The cord is only half the equation, a high performance outlet is the other half. In my systems I have found a power cord with Oyaide 004 ends is excellent. The synergistic outlet with these ends is the Oyaide SWO-GX. It's amazing what they do. If you go to the VH Audio web site there are several P.C. plans or you can buy a cord ready made. |
