Does anyone here have a synergy rack? Tell me about it?

I own a quad 30 and a twin 30.....they are your typical mass marketed eq. rack, nothing special in materials, not very rigid in lateral movement, finish is average......its best features are the adjustable shelves.....If your looking for something that holds alot of gear in a certain amount of space then the Synergy does that. I would not buy another

Doug.......I have the Salamander Synergy rack. It is very versatile, shelves are infinitely adjustable, and it is solid and sturdy. It can be configured many different ways, and can hold plenty of weight. I have over 600 pounds on mine. I ordered mine with the caster kit. The casters are very strong, and roll the entire rack away from the wall when needed without any serious effort. I can recommend the Salamander Synergy rack without reservation. I think it is a good value.

The factual bits by both Dan and A/V Solutions are true. For my setup, it's a very good solution when considering aesthetics, flexibility (in addition to Dan's comments about flexibility, I sometimes, though not usually, install the doors for a different look), and price point. I was looking for something that fit how the room looks, not something that would draw undue attention to the gear.

Kal can correct me here, but if I moved gear in and out as much as I imagine he does, it may not be the best solution. YMMV.

Yes but, clearly, I had been expecting it would be. I need it open on all sides since I rewire constantly and it is likely the Synergy would be stiffer if I installed them.

Basic quality, on the lower end of the cost spectrum. I carry too many better lines now.

Very versatile and they look nice. Scratch easy. Are there better racks out there?? Sure.

I have the Triple 30. I've had it for almost five years. Still rock solid and not a scratch on it. I've pulled it in and out from the wall many times and have never felt any threat of it falling a part. A pretty decent rack for the money.

The really nice and convenient aspect of Salamander Synergy racks is that you can easily replace 'scratched' or damaged components, you can add levels to it, later on if you have too. You can buy additional pieces and give all your shelving gear the same look and feel. You can add doors, lights, fans, side panels, drawers, inserts for CD's... ... you can design your own.. to name a few options..

They can hold a lot of weight and when you have mono amps that weigh near 100 lbs apiece, that is a nice bonus. I find them attractive and with a little care will last you a very very long time.

It's like blue ray units.. you can spend $$$$$$ or buy an Oppo at like..$$...
