Home audio video centre.
I am wanting to have a home entertainment centre made for my audio & video gear of my own design by a cabinetmaker that I have come across & was wondering of this. If you had the choice, what material would you have the shelves made out of that will support the components, wood, stone, marble etc ?

Wood being the most common, stone or marble would be very intriguing.
