Default Mute Ribbons ~

I hear absolutely zero sound from both ribbon tweeters of both speakers. I placed ear even touching ribbon to hear any sound, but dead silent. But, the dome tweeter just below the ribbon (see image) is alive and producing high frequency.

Both ribbons look like new, no burning or damage etc.

What has happened and what should I do, please?

Are you able to unscrew the housing where the ribbon tweeter is and carefully pull it out to see if something came loose? unfortunately I wouldn't think that could happen unless you were moving them or something, but that's the first thing I would check just to be sure.

The crossover to the ribbon driver in DALI's hybrid tweeter is around 14kHz in most of their models, and as such may be beyond the audible range of many listeners. Even though its output may be ultrasonic to many it is believed to still benefit the ultimate performance of the speaker by extending the range of the dome tweeter and significantly improving the dispersion characteristics at the highest frequencies. If you can check out the demo speakers at your dealer to confirm that you also can't hear their ribbon's output. It's likely that there is nothing wrong with your ribbons, just sit back and enjoy the tunes. DALI makes some fine speakers as demonstrated by their worldwide acceptance. Hope this helps!

Just finished gymnastics trying to remove the casing of those tweeters, but Dali won.

Wow, thank you for explaining.
