Interesting. The Boulder 1060 weighs the same (64kg), has a damping factor in the order of 3 to 4 times higher (around 3-4k), wider bandwidth & higher s/n, yet has less than 1/3rd the "watts" @8ohms (300). It would be intersting to see how that would play out in a side by side listening test (?)..

I have heard the Boulder amps on numerous occasions, I'm sorry to say they have dissappointed me every time.

Ivan, I can only assume your experience owed to room issues and/or poor system synergy, since their amps range from $25k (1060) up to $195k for the 3050 mono's & these guys know what they're doing. At $110k, the comparative Boulder product would be the 2050 class a mono's which are around $85k. As always, audio is a personal journey. What floats your boat might not be my cup of tea and vice versa. In my experience, Boulder amps are sensitive to both cable & component matching as they are very accurate and transparent to source. Also, good gains can be obtained by upgrading the factory pc (which most owners use) to something like a Jorma Prime or KS Elation. Imho, they need cables which are on the warm side, harmonically rich & mellifluous, as well as a warm, harmonically rich source. But correctly matched and optimized, Boulder amps are capable of stunning sound

With the above said, the Artemis mono's look very impressive & must sound wonderful. Congratulations!
