Good for you!. Why would a little snow keep a man from his BBQ?

I am starting to research grills, and the Kalamazoo hybrid has me intrigued. I may use NG instead of LP.
Are you happy with your grill still? Do you ever use charcoal? I live in Montana and hardwoods aren't really available so I don't think I'd use wood.
Which grates do you use?
Thanks.

Hi Tim
yes I am happy with my Kalamazoo grill. I use the laser cut meat grate and laser cut veg grate. I use charcoal on occasions but hardwood is my favorite.

I have had a glow plug go bad but the company sent me a new one

Do you use the rotisserie? Can you get it screaming hot to sear/cook a steak? How is the temperature control? Low and slow as well? How often do you use it? Is it easy to clean? It's hard to find reliable information on these grills. They seem to well reviewed, but often times these reviews are little more than a advertisement.

Thanks

If you want to sear a steak, the best thing for a good hard sear that does NOT penetrate deep into the meat, use a propane torch/BernzoMatic.

I have cooked a handful steaks sous vide recently, and the blow torch is better than any grill or fuel source I have used.

Gary,
I've been using Sous Vide for around 6 years now and have used a MAPP torch. But, this is generally not a crowd pleaser when there's company. I do have a TEC grill from the late 90's that works well for this but not so much for slower cooking. It is this grill I'm looking to replace.

Sous Vide is great for any avian or mammalian protein. Not a huge fan for fish.
Try bacon overnight at 147F and then in a hot pan to crisp a single side. Chewy and crunchy at the same time
