Do you guys think MQA will really be any better than the current Hi-Res albums coming out??

At this stage that is difficult to answer as most of us have only heard MQA in a controlled environment. Some of the tracks I heard were outstanding and showed real promise. Others were good but nothing special.

MQA is supposed to be both a SQ improvement when it is "authenticated" and an improved delivery system for hi-Rez content.

So just now catching up on this new technology news. So will MQA require that other processors besides Meridian's own be capable of decoding this new tech encoded music?

To gain the full benefits of MQA encoding the DAC needs to support MQA decoding. However if the DAC doesn't support MQA it will still be able to playback the files just without all of the claimed improvements.

No, several other DAC manufacturers and streamers have committed to supporting MQA.
