Whoa! Those Rockports are awesome! I've never heard a pair....what do they sound like? Any comparisons to other lines you've heard? Nice room.

My previous speakers we're Wilson Maxx 3's. Amazing speakers in their own rite...I always thought i'd be a X2 Alexandria customer...The Rockports are faster (lightning fast...like electrostatics...but even better dynamics than the Wilsons), deeper and more articulate bass...and the resolution steps up...but very musical...just pulls you in...and the sense of timing...

Here is a pic of my former Wilson's (my dealer has em for sale..good price...it's a GREAT speaker...you gotta spend a LOT more for this kind of scale and ease-let me know if anyone is curious)

I've owned Wilson WP 6's, 8's, Maxx 2's and 3's before the Rockports

I should also mention that i've always had tube system. Everything...phono...pre...amp...about 6 years ago I tried the Ayre MXR and have never looked back (previous amps were ARC and BAT)...in 2000 I bought a BAT VK50SE/51SE (was upgraded) and VK60 then VK 150SE amps...The combo of the Nagra PLL and Ayre just blew me away...and a LOT less tubes (3 vs 32 tubes)...I've sense moved on from the Nagra PLL after owning it for 5+ years.

Nagra makes some sweet gear...very under appreciated...

Ayre amps on my former Finite Elemente Master Pagode stand (now using Grand Prix Audio Silverstone F1 stands)

Thank you...I wish I could find a pic before and after. The room was bland and boring. The wood diffusors on the ceiling and the front and side walls...not only made a killer sound improvement...the room just looks better.

Everything in wood was custom made by a local woodworker. The fabric panels are by RPG.

The design is by Rive's and my local dealer, Ne Plus Ultra.
