Not all guns are stupid. Not all people are stupid. You are right. But as Dan said, people who have no business handling guns and don't have the training, the maturity, and the understanding of how dangerous guns are when improperly handled are to be kind - morons, brain dead, dumb asses, etc...pick your adjective.

I get that there are a lot of responsible gun owners, many of them here on AA. But there are also tons of people who have no business handling guns.

I know this will end up being a political anti-gun vs. pro-gun debate. I happen to be in the anti camp. I have no intention of foisting my opinion on others. I grew up in a country that was in the midst of a civil war and I saw guns all around me and I have seen the destruction that arms (small to big caliber) can do. I have no interest in having any weapon but that's just me.

Cyril.......I respect your view and appreciate how you came to hold it. This is not going to turn into a pro-gun/anti-gun thread. The OP just posted some videos of patently ignorant people doing stupid things with guns. Commenting on the nature of the videos doesn't have to evolve into an argument. I don't think that was Serge's intent and it is certainly not mine. What we are really discussing here are people with low cognitive and intellectual abilities endangering themselves and others with a dangerous activity.

Dan, you are correct, it was not my intent to post this video to start arguments. It could have just as easily been about people mishandling fireworks, reckless driving, driving while intoxicated, or any other topic where people do stupid things that endanger their lives or lives of others. But of course since this is guns and shooting sports section, lately it seems, this has a tendency of being polarized and even twisted into a political debate of sorts of which it has absolutely nothing to do with. It's just people doing stupid things and represent nothing more than that. All in all, I do have to say, our members do behave in civilized manner as compared to some other forums where even an argument about which amplifier or speakers sounds better turns into personal attacks and insults...
