We would love to get some more info regarding the DB1D sub issue that another member posted about. I was very close to pulling the trigger on one, but I am concerned.. Please do comment when you have a moment.

I would be careful acquiring any products in the next 2 years. Typically turn a rounds require cost cutting and comprises.

I own eight B&W pieces, all from the Nautilus "N" series. Virtually every speaker part I could ever want is still available for purchase from B&W Group North America on line from its excellent website. I've ordered tweeters, woofers, binding posts -- all on line at what I believe to be fair prices, all delivered within days of the order. It is an amazing company that has a long track record of outstanding support for its legacy products. I wish B&W all the best with its restructuring.

Having spent most of my career in private equity backed companies, I'm going to respectfully disagree. Following up on IVV's points about legacy--they are not about to change the specs, materials, build on any of their audiophile products. From a pure business perspective, that would be insane--the sound difference would be apparent immediately, brand value would collapse. Maybe we have to wait longer for D4? Maybe they push more mass market stuff that isn't so good?

I have 3 pairs from B&W, and would buy a 4th without hesitation

I do not consider this to be good guidance. Boeing lost $640MM in 1Q20, revenues down 26%, announced reduced production and lay-offs. Are you also suggesting that airlines not buy Boeing aircraft for the next two years?

I think he is referring more to compromise as being a function of cost cutting. Seen it countless times. Turnaround guys come in with no dog in the hunt - no appreciation for how the brand came to be, no interest in the business the brand is in, no interest in even owning anything the company offers. They're generally there to make shit happen on spreadsheets.

Many a brand is a shadow of its former self afterwards.
