I use 802D2 mainly for home theatre use! They are awesome for home theatre... go for it!

I setup (5) 800D3 in a multi-channel system last year. Definitely not overkill.

There is no unstated premise, only your presumption of one. I do not use them for HT because there is no HT in that room. No large display, no prepro/AVR.

Thanks for the all the input !
I wasn't really saying that HT is of lesser sound quality than 2ch, simply that for a lot of HT use you aren't really doing critical listening, and since I don't do much 2ch listening currently I wasn't sure if some of the extra detail and sound quality your paying for in the 802s would even be noticeable. |
