'dem da fightin words Jerome .... waiting for the DeV. mafia to turn up.. I like the wee PS3 ers, but then again I am biased, and LOVE LS3/5a's. Very happy you like them so much. The De Vore I heard, I wouldn't buy...very ordinary I thought. Mind you, when you stick anything on the end of Shindo it sounds pretty good..

Adam...
I will try them in the main system. But I doubt seriously that they could beat the 40.1 !

Thank you my friend. Yes I know. Hard to believe. I know that you will come back so you 'll be the judge. I laughed about her birthday's present because the party is today sunday. And she was born pn sept 23rd. She has a Squeezebox Radio in her room and she does not "complain" yet. She recognizes easily that my systems are much better but she does not need one yet ! Good for me ! But she asks me from time to time to put her music on the systems.

Thanks. So you prefer the LS3/5a to the P3ESR ? I owned a Kef LS3/5a years ago. Loved the mids but not fan of the bass. I was a student at that time and needed more "boom boom". But they were also really tough to drive imho. The P3ESR's appear much easier to drive to me, and they sound better than the LS3/5a all around. Probably the best 3/5 monitor ever made. The DeVore really sound frustrating now. Really a big problem with Harbeth and me. Most other speakers, even the ones that I loved before, now sound tasteless, boring, and unrefined. Awful. Simply awful to fall in love at this level.

Love the LS3/5a more than the P3? only in the sense I respect their heritage and importance in the evolution of the mini monitor. I think the Rogers 11 & 16 Ohms are the better ones i have heard. Again partnered well do so much right. I think the P3 esr's are probably the best iteration yet of the LS3/5a concept, although I love my Spendor SA1's for similar reasons (they give my Magico S1's a run, with different strengths). Once you "get" the sound in your head of a really well done 2 way, it is hard to listen to poor imitations. First world problems eh jerome ? ha ha
