Guilty as charged sir. I suppose you would discount the experience of a high end audio engineer with 35 years experience also? Meaning? I wasn't speaking out of my rear end. I stand 100% behind my comments.

So David, after offering your opinion & weighing the perspectives of the respondents, what are you going to do now?

Yes I would discount it if my ears told me otherwise.

To be honest Steve, I still think they're ice cream sticks dressed in a gold petty coat. Sure, they can make a pig look good, but they're going to make a bee's dick's difference to any properly designed high end amplifier or cd player. The cost of replacing the fuses in my cd player alone is about $600.00; the same price as a matched quad of 6H30DR tubes (which do make a substantial improvement to the sound). I had a friend try them in his CD-5s and said that after run in the HFT fuses improved resolution & tighted the bass, but thined out the midrange and high frequencies and his player sounded less musical. Last I heard he was thinking of selling the full set of fuses. One thing i've learned about properly designed high end audio gear, you don't need to open it up and replace parts to get it work properly.

David, it doesn't sound like the fuses were correctly oriented. That exactly the sonic effect I described in my recent write up on the Quantum dots on PFO.

Let's talk about "properly designed." A "properly designed" power supply shouldn't need any type of AC line conditioning according to the folks at AES. Nevertheless it does and I think we have all heard the effect of a good PLC has upon the sound of our systems.

FYI I tried the 6H30-DR in my cj ART amp and preferred the stock tubes. So I wasted $300 in my book.

sashafan.......I'm happy to hear your experience is positive. My HiFi Tuning Supreme fuses are still installed in two systems. I couldn't be happier with the way both systems are performing. Thanks for letting us know about your experience.

Taken from the Ultra Systems fuse site.
They have a model that has - "...special resonance and quantum treatments."

What do you think the special quantum treatments are?
Schrödinger's Cat and said cat being in two states at the same time until viewed.
