Congrats, Dan. Bring them to the next SEPAS (should be simple enough ) and we'll give 'em a try on some vintage amps. Am guessing they will sound great on most anything decent.

Thanks! I'll have to find some Ahmad Jamaal so I can get a true back-to-back comparison with those Dahlquists.

I don't have the budget or the room for a pair of BHK 300s, but the BHK 250 could possibly be the next addition if I can find one for the right price.

After that, I will have to sell off some of my current gear and might have to start slim down my headphone setup.

Dan, PS will give up to 30% off list for trade ins at their original list price. Call Kevin Jackson at PS about the program. Kevin is excellent.

We don’t normally discuss discounts publicly, but since you did; I can easily beat their deals.

During summer time, it can heat the room. While it's been very rewarding and very musical with tube, kinda have a hankerin' for rotating in a grunty smooth sounding SS amp or maybe a hybrid with tube front end and solid state back end like the BHK. Curios to see how the BHK pans out for ya.

Oh man, I just went and did it. I traded in my McIntosh MC452 and c2500 for the PS Audio BHK 300 monoblocks and BHK Preamp.

As soon as I get them I’ll let you know on the differences.

Very cool. A while back I watched a few youtube videos including Bascom H. King. The blind listening testing they all did to convince Paul McGowan of PS Audio tubes are necessary on the input side was confirming. The hybrid design is compelling for sure. The monos should be awesome. Yeah, keep us posted for sure!
