Not too bad for the netherlands up to now, 2 Gold, 2 Silver and one bronze medal.

Really liked the shorttrack action, great camera shots with the athletes at full speed through the corners

There's always high hopes for each winter Olympics, which lasts a nano second until our old and utterly dominant friend, sorry, fiend, curling fills the schedules in it's timeless and oh so thrilling way.

If the summer Olympics just had wall to wall coverage of speed walking would people turn off? Of course not.

Youtube despite earlier promises, are not showing live or retrospective highlights of anything, so it's a non event for me. Might see it in a years time.

My son and I tried watching the women’s biathlon last night on Nbcsn. The coverage was unwatchable. There were so many commercial breaks. I started timing them and they were going to commercial every 4 minutes and the commercials lasted 3 minutes. One time, they came back from commercial, showed you a graphic of medal counts, and went back to another 3 minutes of commercials. The commentator also informed me that snow is cold.

After the Ski Jumping, watched curling last night -- very few commercials.

Fear not, you can watch the whole she bang from Vancouver on 'tube. Just stick an 8 with blu tack where the 0 is on your computer screen and you'l not know the difference. If you want to be more a la mode you'l get a massive 3.23 highlights from Sochi.

Well I never, it's Russian tv to the rescue, 17 mins of the men's 10k biathlon on the tube, with perhaps more to come. The pictures a bit jittery, but hey presto, some coverage.

Luckily, the 10K biathlon was also on NBC (surprising). What's up with their Brit announcers? Why don't they use American announcers? Are they broadcasting in the UK these days? Very tired of Brit announcers on American TV (60 Minutes, for instance). Are there a bunch of American announcers on Brit TV?
