And... They are awesome Joey. I have 4 244s. The 244s are a bit heavier so hanging takes a bit more time. I am not a rocket scientist and had to drill a couple holes. . Then adjust the hanger wire tension a bit to get them to my liking. I felt the 244s needed 2 screws/heavy duty picture hangers (whatever) because of the extra weight. Maybe I was over cautious but Glenn would know better. In any case - if the 242 requires only 1 hanger then alignment can be adjusted by tightening the wire or loosening it a bit to bring it up or down 1/2" or so. The wire is fairly stiff.

The ooks hooks come in different types depending on the weight. I generally just buy the ones that hold over 50 pounds. Kind of over doing it but even with the heavy duty ones, they really don't cause all that much damage in the walls. Basically 2 small nail holes.

yep, one 50lb ooks is all it takes for one 244.

So how do I secure the wire onto the hooks again? Just tie it?

no tying needed. Run the wire through the hooks and then wrap it around itself a few times. Hopefully these pics help

Bryan Pape suggested to me to use a thin chain (from Lowes Hardware) and S hooks. I then counted an equal number of links in the chain and cut accordingly to make sure all were the same length. I then connected the chain to the eye hooks using S hooks. I noticed some of the preinstalled eye hooks were not equal so I twisted the chain to make them all the same when I measured from the middle of the chain to the top. I stressed the chain when measuring as if hanging. I then used a laser level on a tripod to create a red line on the wall and nailed in the hooks mentioned in an earlier post. All were perfectly equal height and in-line.

I have 9 of the GIK Artpanels in my room. Getting the wires in the correct spot and then hanging them evenly wasn't exactly a picnic, but I am very happy with the results. One of the most cost effective improvements in SQ I made in my set-up.

That effort was a helluva' lot easier than dialling in the low end in my room!
