Thank you Alexander, it's quite an improvement and they integrate nicely.

I have a small question regarding the metal stand. Is it meant to be screwed into the wood ? What is the purpose of the first metal stub ?

Yes - they are to be screwed in to the back. The first stub is where the bottom of the panel sits. Feel free to email Christina or I if you have any other questions on those!

I preferred to be sure before screwing into the wood.

I've elevated the tritrap and they look great now that go up to the ceiling.

I've started installing the 244 on the ceiling but I realized it's solid concrete. I could only put one before getting too late. I'll take care of the rest tomorrow

Finished installing the panels on the ceiling. It went much smoother once I had the right tools. I'm only missing the art panel but it is already better. The most change is on soundstage, everything is more focused, more precise. I have a real left and right.


Can you guess the 244 hidden behind the curtain ? I've also made a custom stand for the tritrap so they go all the way to the ceiling.

Hey Georges,
What did you use to install them into the concrete ceiling? I've had many customers with a similar situation and since they don't usually feel comfortable doing the install they choose not to do the ceiling - just wondering what tools made it easier for you? Everything is lookin' good!

I just have the basic power tools. Since my ceiling is solid concrete I had to use a percussion drill with SDS bits. I tried with a regular drill in hammer mode and it took me over an hour to drill 4 holes whereas with the percussion drill it took me 5 minutes to complete the rest.

I then inserted 8mm nylon anchor and screwed hooks.

In order to have everything straight, I measured using a laser telemeter and a laser spirit level.

If I had the percussion drill, I would have installed the three panels in less than a couple hours with measures taking most of the time.

By the way, I'm listening to Frank Zappa Apostrophe right now. This is an album that I know very well and listening to it many times.

I hear it for the first time like it should be heard with the right details and imaging. I regret not having done it sooner.

I use liquid nails for my ceiling acoustic panels; measure twice, glue once.
