Default Finally Received My Oppo Email But Now I Don't Need It

I checked my email this morning and saw that I had received an email from Oppo. I nearly spilled my coffee jumping to click on the link. Yes, one was available to me. Good good times. But then I came back to reality. I don't need this anymore since I have just just gone from three to two+ systems. (I don't count the bedroom as a full system anymore since I have powered speakers.)
I would have been foolish not to buy the player available to me, so I did. But what now?
The smart play would be to sell it and make a few dollars to cover a small portion of my losses in other transactions in this hobby. I already own a 205 and 203. That should be enough. right?
Or, I could sell my UDP-203 and use the 205. It can be very useful as a more integral piece at some point in the future. Any the way my gear has rotated, that could be a month from now.
Or I could just hold onto it.
At least I have a positive dilemma to contemplate for once.

I did the same thing, purchased a 205 simply because they won’t be available. Mine was delivered over a month ago and the box is sealed still . I’m keeping mine as a back up. I rarely play Blu-ray, cd’s or dvd however I do think the new codecs for surround sound are an area to use without having to buy a new surround pre amp. The 205 has HDMI and analog inputs to accomplish this. I’m still using my OPPO 95 and have been happy. Sell your 203 and keep the 205 unless making a few hundred are more important to you

Or you could just give the email link to someone who wants it without trying to profit.

Thanks for the advice. I think you are right that I should keep the 205 and sell the 203. I would be kicking myself in the long run.

I got the email, bought the 205 and sold the 203. Seemed like a no brainer to me. I do use it for 4K video mainly and maybe about 10% streaming MQA via Roon/Tidal via USB.

I’m probably not getting a lot of bang for the buck as I don’t use it much as a music player or DAC.

Heard from Oppo today, they will not be able to fulfill the demand for the UDP-205.
