I saw this pop up earlier today on a thread over on Reddit/r/headphones and was curious if it would surface over here. I'm interested to see what the community here thinks.

As a member of the LAOCAS, I find this very disturbing.

Is anybody surprised about the actions of the sales rep? It’s an act that goes back thousands of years. Shame on those that condone it.

I think LOACAS reaction is predictable and wrong. Not the first time a demo has been exposed as suspect...

I agree with this statement. It appears LOACAS has turned into what many organizations turn into.

I'm a member of the LAOCAS, but I don't subscribe to the way in which you're classifying a club with some 2500+ members. Just like with any group, we're all individuals, so please don't paint us all with such a broad brush.

Interesting read. I was unfamiliar with the HD Challenge or the Audioquest HDMI conundrum. Also interesting to read that the author, a proponent of High Resolution audio, is willing to question his defence of Hi Rez versus a regular CD.
So much information available on line these days that it is harder for folks to get away with stuff. |
